Lifeguards pull out a fellow lifeguard out of the water as pilgrims take a dip in the River Godavari at the Kumbh Mela in Nasik, about 200 kilometers northeast of Bombay, India. The collapse of a barricade set off a stampede of thousands of people at the Hindu religious festival killing at least 39 people and injuring 125 others.
